Bay Ridge FCU Selects GrooveCar Platform To Provide Members Auto Services

BROOKLYN, NY – Bay Ridge FCU here said it has selected GrooveCar’s online platform to give its members the ability to finance their loan directly at the dealership while researching and shopping for new and pre-owned vehicles.

“GrooveCar is thrilled to welcome Bay Ridge and their members to the program,” said Robert O’Hara, VP of strategic alliances, GrooveCar. “The ability to provide an online resource, and access to area dealerships to meet the vehicle buying needs of members, will increase the service reach of Bay Ridge.”

GrooveCar said its program is designed to benefit membership growth and increase auto loan portfolios, adding it accomplishes that through many features that includes the online platform, exclusive access to over 90% of vehicle dealerships in the region, and customized marketing support services.

“Our program generates engagement at every level during the buying process,” said O’Hara. “These tools, when coupled with the ability to have members’ needs met at the dealership, offer a level of sales engagement that keeps the credit union relevant throughout the car buying journey. The platform provides options for members to shop and research vehicles while linked directly to the credit union’s website. These synergies present a powerful tool in solidifying member relations, capturing more leads and closing more loans.”

According to GrooveCar, once the member has been engaged using the GrooveCar platform, members are served an online experience that includes: building out a vehicle, saving searches that doubles as a lead generation tool for the credit union, loan payment calculator, free CarFax reports, trade-in values, inventory derived from the member’s geographic area and more.

In addition, GrooveCar said the program provides access to dealerships in the region who promote the financing of its credit union partners, which now include Bay Ridge FCU. The service oriented program also features a team of representatives to assist members during the sales process with the dealership, the company added.

The $200-million Bay Ridge FCU has more than 8,000 members.
